Dr. Perkins holds board certification in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He has completed extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, liver and gallbladder. Dr. Perkins has been in private practice with Digestive Disease Specialists, Inc. since 2002 in their South office.
Dr. Perkins is a native of Fort Worth, Texas, and holds a medical degree from the University of Texas. He did his Internship, Residency, and Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. He was the Chief Resident during his Residency.
Dr. Perkins is a member of several professional associations, and enjoys continuing his education. His special interests include inflammatory bowel disease, colon rectal cancer screening and small bowel disorders.
